March

The March meeting was a joyful time of coming together in the love of the Lord, to rest awhile, worship at His footstool, then listen in awe to the very moving testimony of guest speaker Sue Andersen. A member of the Hamilton Dove Team, Sue was lovingly supported on her trip to the North by four of the Team members.

The women began to arrive just after 1:00 in time for a cuppa before the meeting began at 1:30.    It was lovely to welcome new women, and have young mums with their children. The crèche girls were kept very busy.

In the absence of our President, Mary, Liz welcomed the 50+ women, and Mary-Rose (Founding President of Dove) opened the meeting by asking everyone to join her in praying the Lord’s Prayer-slowly.

It was a very emotional experience for everyone listening as Sue shared her testimony with humility and courage. As well as mothering two of her own children, Sue fostered 147 others over a period of 20 years.  In 2006 Sue knew her time for fostering was over and a week later she was invited to join the Hamilton Dove Team.   In 2009 Sue received a deep inner healing at a Dove Retreat,

The Vision of Dove - “women ministering to women in love and gentleness ...  providing effective support for each other ...” was reflected beautifully through the Hamilton girls.

As a fitting end to a very blessed meeting, Liz invited the women to receive an anointing to strengthen them in their resolve to surrender their lives more fully to the Lord’s will and plans.  Most of the women present responded and came forward for the blessing, enfolded in beautiful praise and worship music as they waited.
