Theme & Scripture for 2012

The Vision for Dove Northland Tai Tokerau for 2012 is for each woman to receive fully the light of Christ, so she may in turn be a beacon shining brightly, drawing others to the radiant Love of the Father's Heart.

Matthew 5: 14-16 "You are like a light for the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl; instead he puts it on the lampstand, where it gives light for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven."

"Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!" Matthew 10:8

The desire of God's heart is that we all have a personal relationship with Him and come to know the depth and intimacy of His love for each one of us.

This year you will be encouraged to step out in faith, by the power of the Holy Spirit, to freely share the love of Jesus.

The Northland Dove Team with Amanda Whitehead in the centre. Behind is the beautiful banner Amamda made and gifted to Dove last year.

The focus table displayed at this meeting showed a photo board made by Amanda and beautiful quilts made for the girls by another cancer patient who was inspired by the little girls' courage.

March Meeting

"A Reflective Journey With Jesus"

Enabled women to get up-close-and-personal with Jesus as they went with Him on the way to Calvary. A special time of drawing aside from all the stress and busyness of our lives and of coming closer to Jesus on His journey to the Cross and our salvation. There was no need to walk – but a time of just being still and letting the love of our Lord restore and refresh while resting in Him.

August Meeting with Janet Balcombe as Speaker

I would describe this meeting as one which declared the Victory of the Lord - in impossible situations.

Following a blessed time of Praise and Worship, our speaker, Janet Balcombe shared some of her amazing testimony of trial, deliverance and victory in the Name and Love of Jesus. Janet is an incredible young woman, exuding deep inner strength. This inner strength has not been easily won, and Janet spoke of her journey through torment and deception in the dark world of drugs and the psychosis that accompanies this dangerous lifestyle. Years of association in that culture finally culminated in a 'pit' experience which finally bought Jan to her knees and face to face with the loving God who had pursued and protected her throughout that dangerous 16 years.

Janet expressed gratitude to her mother who, along with many other intercessors, faithfully held her in prayer until, in God’s perfect time, her ultimate deliverance and whole-hearted acceptance of Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. Janet is currently studying for a Degree in Counseling as well as writing a book about her experiences, both of which she hopes will equip her to help others caught in the evil trap of addictions.

This was a mighty testimony of hope. All our women were deeply blessed through this frank and honest testimony of a life made new and now given over to God’s perfect plan and purpose.
