2010 Meetings

October Meeting

Our speaker for the evening was Helen Reinen. Helen is a former National President of Dove and she taught on “The Motivational Gifts”.

September Meeting

At our September Fellowship meeting we had an amazing evening. The gathering was a time of thanksgiving for our recent retreat. Six ladies shared testimonies of their experiences of the  National Retreat at Carey Park in Henderson with Terry Modica from Good News Ministries in Tampa Bay Florida. It was wonderful to hear from each of the ladies how they had been touched by the retreat time in many different ways. Between them they managed to perfectly capture the essence of this special time.

After the testimonies, we had a time of prayer and anointing, when we had a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit. This was a great opportunity for the ladies who had not been able to attend the retreat to receive an anointing and also for those who had, to seal in the blessings received.

The meeting concluded with supper and fellowship.

July South Auckland Celebrated 21years!

God’s provision is in his promises. This was the theme for our 21st Birthday meeting.

As always, God sure did provide! The evening started with Diane Andrews presenting

a powerful testimony, on her journey, in trusting the Lord with his provision. This was

backed by some amazing scriptures all done in powerpoint presentation. It was as though

the Lord was giving his promises to each one of us in the room. Diane’s talk was

followed by Praise and Worship, where we were able to spend an amazing time

with the Lord soaking in all his promises. Roger and Rita Peterson then proceeded to officially cut

our 21st cake and each women took home with them a lovely card with

a piece of scripture from our Focal Point.  Many women have commented on how

the piece of scripture they were given, relates to their present circumstances. God sure

does provide! Thank you God for your provision for South Auckland Dove for the past 21 years.

Seini Taimarangai - Remembering A Wonderful South Auckland Woman of God (November 2010)

All Saints day Seini was taken home to be with the Lord. I was on the South Auckland Dove Team with her for six years, and she was such a gift of love, faith, service and encouragement. Her hugs were amazing, she so tuned into what was happening in other peoples lives and yet she had a lot of struggles in her own, she just so trusted the Lord.

While I was on team with her, her eldest son, Solomon 22 died after a fight in Queen St. He lived for a short time in hospital, the grief was overwhelming, but it so touched all of us. The night before her funeral, when people were sharing, one of Solomon's friends got up and shared that Seini gathered his young friends around and said, "I want no retaliation, we will leave it to the Lord." this young man shared how it was right against young men's thinking but it impacted him, a seed was planted and he has never forgotten this wonderful lady.

May she Rest in Peace.
